Teresa N Baggett, MD FAAP Dr. Teresa Baggett
is a native of Columbia, SC and received her undergraduate degree from Clemson
University. She received her medical degree from the University of South
Carolina School of Medicine in 1978. She completed her pediatric residency at
the University of Kentucky Medical Center in 1981. She began private practice
in 1981 and joined Palmetto Pediatrics in 1987. She is a Fellow of the American
Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Baggett enjoys spending time with her husband, Rob
and children, Bryan and Emily. She also enjoys cooking, playing tennis, hiking
and flower gardening. |

Michael Barker, MD FAAP Dr. Barker is a native
of South Carolina and grew up in Rock Hill. He received his undergraduate
degree from USC and his medical degree from USC School of Medicine. He
completed his pediatric residency at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville.
Dr. Barker was named a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics in 2002. He
joined Palmetto Pediatrics in 2002. Dr. Barker and his wife Jackie have two
sons, Andrew and Hugh. Dr. Barker's hobbies include golf, running, reading and
movies. |

Emilie Bartlett, MD FAAP Dr. Bartlett is
originally from Orangeburg, South Carolina. She is an honors graduate of
Randolph-Macon Woman's College and the University of South Carolina School of
Medicine. She completed her residency in pediatrics at the Children's Hospital
of Palmetto Richland in 2001, serving as Chief Resident in her final year. She
practiced at Pediatric Associates in Columbia until 2006 when she joined
Palmetto Pediatric and Adolescent Clinic. She is board certified by the
American Board of Pediatrics and is a fellow of the American Academy of
Pediatrics. Dr. Bartlett is married and has two children. She enjoys friends,
family, tennis and running. |

Sylvia Brook, MD FAAP Argiri (Sylvia) X. Brook
was born and raised in Columbia, SC. She received her BS from Emory University
in 1997. She received her MD from the University of South Carolina School of
Medicine in 2002. In 2005, she completed her residency training at Palmetto
Richland Memorial Hospital. She is board certified with the American Academy of
Pediatrics and a fellow of the AAP. She enjoys spending time with her husband,
Bill, and their two daughters, Katie and Victoria. She is fluent in Greek and
enjoys cooking and traveling. |

Barry W Cabiness, MD FAAP Dr Cabiness is a
native of Shelby, N.C. He received his undergraduate degree from Clemson
University. He graduated with honors from the University of South Carolina
School of Medicine and was elected into Alpha Omega Alpha, the medical school
honor society. He served as chief resident of pediatrics and is board certified
in pediatrics. Dr Cabiness is married to Gennie and has a daughter, Gracen, and
a son, Brooks. He serves as a Deacon in his church, enjoys time with his
family, golf, and Clemson football. |

Jim Dewar, MD FAAP Jim Dewar was born in
Yakima, Washington and moved to South Carolina where he went to Irmo High
School. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of South
Carolina. He received his medical degree from the University of South Carolina
School of Medicine in 1996. He completed his pediatric residency at Palmetto
Richland Children's Hospital in Columbia. He then moved to Flagstaff, Arizona
where he practiced pediatrics prior to returning to South Carolina. He joined
Palmetto Pediatrics in 2003. Dr. Dewar is board certified in pediatrics and is
a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. In his free time, Dr. Dewar
enjoys playing tennis, hiking and playing the piano. He is married to Melanie
and has a son. |

Deborah M Greenhouse, MD FAAP Dr Deborah M
Greenhouse is a native of Rockaway, New Jersey. She received her undergraduate
degree from Clemson University. She received her medical degree from Emory
University in 1989 and completed her pediatrics residency at Richland Memorial
Hospital in 1992. She joined Palmetto Pediatrics in 1992 and is a Fellow of the
American Academy of Pediatrics. She is also a member and past chairperson of
the Richland 2 School District Medical Advisory Committee. Dr. Greenhouse
enjoys spending time with her husband David and daughters Alyssa and Hannah.
She also enjoys, tennis, hiking and relaxing with a good book. |

Sarah Grooms, MD FAAP Dr. Sarah Grooms is a
native of Gainesville, Ga. She received her undergraduate degree from North
Georgia College. She received her medical degree from the University of South
Carolina School of Medicine in 1991. She completed her pediatrics residency at
Richland Memorial Hospital in 1994. She was a Fellow in Pediatric
Hematology-oncology at the Children's Center fro Cancer and Blood Disorders
from 1994 to 1996. She joined Palmetto Pediatrics in 1996 and is a Fellow of
the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Grooms is married to Fred Grooms who is
a youth pastor. She enjoys church activities, working with youth groups,
reading and gardening. Dr. Grooms is the proud mother of Abigail and Eric.

Nada J Hamzy, MD FAAP Dr. Nada Hamzy is a
native of Lebanon. She received her undergraduate and medical degrees from the
American University in Beirut in 1992. She finished her residency in pediatrics
at Richland Memorial Hospital in 1997. She joined Palmetto Pediatrics in 1998.
Dr. Hamzy is married to Rabih Hamzy who is a civil engineer. She enjoys
swimming, gardening, reading and traveling. Dr. Hamzy is the proud mother of
twins Maya and Matthew. |

Sonya Head, MD FAAP Dr. Sonya Head was born and
raised in Aiken, South Carolina. She graduated from the University of South
Carolina-Aiken with a BS in Chemistry in 1994. Dr. Head attended the University
of South Carolina School of Medicine and graduated in 1998. She completed her
residency training in Pediatrics in 2001 at Palmetto Health Richland. She
entered private practice in July 2001 at Southside Pediatrics of Aiken LLC. She
is married to William Head and her daughter, Maggie, was born in August of
2004. In her spare time, Dr. Head enjoys cooking, reading and spending time
with her family. |

Lloyd Kapp, MD FAAP Dr. Kapp is a native of
Columbia. He received his BA from the University of the South in Sewanee, TN in
May of 1993. He received his MD from USC School of Medicine in 1999. Dr. Kapp
completed his pediatric residency at Palmetto Richland Memorial in June of
2002. He joined Palmetto Pediatrics in July 2002. Dr. Kapp is board certified
by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a fellow of the American Academy of
Pediatrics. He is married to Jill Kapp and has two daughters, Mason and
Suzanne. Dr. Kapp spends his free time enjoying basketball, golf and snow
skiing. |

Catherine Miller, M.D. FAAP Dr. Miller is
originally from Atlanta, Georgia. She is a graduate of the University of South
Carolina and the University of South Carolina School of Medicine. She completed
her residency in pediatrics at Richland Memorial Hospital in 1998. She
practiced at Pediatric Associates in Columbia until 2000 when she joined
Palmetto Pediatric and Adolescent Clinic. She is board certified by the
American Board of Pediatrics and is a fellow of the American Academy of
Pediatrics. Dr. Miller is married to Chris and has two children, Jordan and
Shelby. She enjoys reading, watersports and Tae-bo. |

Melissa Mills , M.D. FAAP Dr. Mills received
her undergraduate degree from Furman. She is a graduate of the University of
South Carolina School of Medicine. She performed her residency at Richland
Memorial Hospital in Columbia. Dr.Mills is a Columbia native. She is maried to
her husband Tim. They have a son, Ian. She enjoys family, baking,
hiking/camping, and travel. |

Kay L Moore, MD FAAP Dr. Kay Moore is a native
of Camden, SC and received her undergraduate degree from the University of SC.
She received her medical degree from the University of SC in 1986 and completed
her residency in pediatrics at Richland Memorial Hospital in 1989. From 1989 to
1990 Dr. Moore worked with Palmetto Neonatal Associates at Lexington Medical
Center. In 1990 she practiced general pediatrics in Greenwood SC. In 1991 she
returned to practice part time with Palmetto pediatrics and also to help
establish the Pediatric Emergency Room at Richland Memorial Hospital. In 1993
Dr. Moore joined Palmetto pediatrics full time. Dr. Moore and her husband Larry
enjoy music, reading and renovating their old home in Shandon. |

William B. Painter, MD FAAP Dr. Painter is a
native of Spartanburg, SC. He received his undergraduate degree from Wofford
College and his medical degree from the University of South Carolina School of
Medicine. He completed his residency in pediatrics at Richland Memorial
Hospital in 2001. He worked for Palmetto Pediatrics from 2001-2002 and worked
for Southside Pediatrics in Aiken, SC from 2002-2004. He is board certified in
pediatrics. He is married to Dr. Lauren Painter, who is a board certified
OB/GYN and works for Women's Physician Associates here in Columbia. In his free
time he enjoys hanging out with his wife and their two labrador retrievers,
playing golf and watching sports. |

Jerri-Lynn Shealy, MD FAAP Dr. Shealy is a
native of Prosperity, SC. She received her undergraduate degree from Furman
University and her medical degree from The University of South Carolina School
of Medicine. She completed her residency in pediatrics at Richland Memorial
Hospital in 1998 and is Board Certified in pediatrics. Dr. Shealy is married to
Clint Shealy. She enjoys spending her free time doing aerobics, cooking and
participating in various church activities. She and Clint are the proud parents
of Jonah, born July 13, 2000 and twins Abigail and Amelia, born April 10,
2002. |

Richard Shrouds, MD FAAP Dr. Shrouds is a
native of Baltimore, MD and was raised in Columbia. He received his
undergraduate degree from the College of Charleston and his MD from the Medical
University of SC in Charleston. Dr. Shrouds completed his residency at Michigan
State University / Kalamazoo Center for Medical Studies and was the chief
resident of pediatrics in his last year. Dr. Shrouds is board certified in
pediatrics and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Shrouds
joined Palmetto Pediatrics in November 2002. He is married to Sara Shrouds and
has one daughter, Katelyn. Dr. Shrouds' hobbies include golf, softball and
weight training. |

Jennifer Soroos, MD FAAP Dr. Soroos is a
native of Madison , Wisconsin. She received her undergraduate degree from the
University of Wisconsin-Madison. She received her medical degree from the
Medical College of Wisconsin in 2000. She completed her pediatric residency at
Childrens Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, MO in 2003. Dr. Soroos has been
practicing Pediatrics in Columbia since completion of residency and joined
Palmetto Pediatrics & Adolescent Clinic in 2007. She is board certified
with the American Academy of Pediatrics and a fellow of the AAP. Dr. Soroos is
married to Dr. Jason Stacy, a sports medicine physician for the USC Gamecocks.
They have one son, Jack and one daughter, Juliana. Dr. Soroos enjoys spending
time with her family, baking, traveling and Gamecock and Packer football. |
