Lactation Station

Our smallest patients, our newborns, have always been greeted in the hospital by our physicians and have followed up at the Palmetto Pediatrics location of the parents’ choosing.

In 2002, we also became the first pediatric practice in the Midlands to offer extra support for families experiencing feeding difficulties by offering professional breastfeeding consultations. Our Internationally Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC), Karen Sullivan, has been with us since the beginning, and has a well-established reputation in the community for evidence based care.

Any Palmetto Pediatric family can meet with Karen by scheduled appointment at the Harbison office in the morning, or Northeast in the afternoon. To make an appointment, simply call any of our offices, and the front desk staff will be happy to assist you.
