Beginning August 27th, all Medicaid recipients will be asked to enroll in a Managed Medicaid Plan at the anniversary of enrollment date. If you do not choose a plan, Maximus will choose one for you. We here at Palmetto Pediatrics participate in 3 of the many managed plans available.
Your child can enroll in First Choice by Select Health, Unison, or the Palmetto Medical Homes Network. If you have a child with special needs, we recommend the Palmetto Medical Homes Network. If your child has private insurance in addition to Medicaid, First Choice will be best for him or her and, if your child has Medicaid as their only insurance, enrolling in Unison would be best. We will continue to accept fee-for-service Medicaid as long as it exists.

If your child is already enrolled in one of these plans you do not need to do anything at this time.
