Position Overview

The Director of Operations (DO) is a pivotal leadership role within SCPA to supervise all Clinic Administrators, and ensure each clinic location is delivering optimal quality, regulatory, operational and financial performance. The DO will work closely with all management team members to identify improvement opportunities and drive results through each of the Clinic Administrators. The DO will report directly to the Chief Compliance Officer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operations: Oversee the day-to-day clinic operations at all locations.
    • Generate management and financial reports to identify variation in clinic productivity and all expense line items, to then effectively implement strategies to improve business results.
    • Work closely with the Chief Compliance Officer to ensure all clinics are survey prepared.
    • Work closely with the Director of Quality to ensure quality initiative action plans are executed
    • Work closely with the Director of Operational Support to ensure all expense lines are being managed
  • Standardization: Compare all clinics to identify variation and best demonstrated practice to help standardize processes, staffing models, supplies, medications, vaccinations, and lab utilization that leads to improved patient care, quality, service and financial outcomes.
  • Training: Meet regularly with Clinic Administrators individually and as a team to provide training, educational programs, and share best demonstrated practices.
  • Assessment: Work with all Clinic Administrators to evaluate the performance and competencies of clinical staff through assessments, observations, and feedback. Identify areas for improvement and create individualized development plans for staff members.
  • Support: Function as a resource person for all clinical staff, answering questions and providing updates on best practices and procedures.
  • Quality: Promote a culture of continuous improvement and patient-centered care.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, as well as accreditation standards.
  • Patient Satisfaction: Promote patient satisfaction and engagement through effective communication and patient-centered care practices.
    • Work with the Director of Operational Support to improve the patient’s journey and identify ways to improve employee satisfaction.
  • Business Development: Understand the market, competition, hospitals, referral sources to work closely with the leadership team on defense and offense strategies to build relationships, and secure patient volume and revenue at each clinic.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • BSN, or bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, business or another related field (RN preferred)
  • 5 years’ experience working in healthcare
  • Multi-site operational experience required
