Position: Director of Quality

Position Overview
The Director of Quality works closely with and reports to the Chief Executive Officer with a dotted line into the Chief Medical Officer (CMO).
Key Responsibilities
- Is responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing quality, clinical, medical supply, risk management, and survey preparedness initiatives throughout the South Carolina Pediatric Alliance.
- Is a very hands-on position that helps Clinic Administrators, and their teams to continuously improve clinical outcomes and reduce clinical supply business expenses.
- Spending most of their time (up to 80%) working with clinicians at all SCPA locations.
- Will establish and attend all clinic level quality meetings to present comparative scorecards, develop and enforcing action plans, and share best practices throughout the organization.
- Will lead a team of clinical educators that may include asthma, special needs, lactation, and any other specialty SME areas that help to deliver the highest standards of patient quality care.
- Will be expected to develop relationships and attend CLIA, OSHA, Department of Health and various Pediatric affiliated network meetings and conferences throughout the year.
- Will meet with insurance companies quarterly to review gaps in care and HEDIS reports
- Complete appointment agendas and patient outreach to close gaps in care
- Will review hospital admissions and ER visits to upload discharge summaries and schedule office follow up visits (or implement a new process for accomplishing this task throughout SCPA)
- Will upload after hour triage notes to EMR and follow up with families asked to schedule an appointment (or implement a new process for accomplishing this task throughout SCPA)
- Will create mass text blast messages, announcements, and surveys to inform patients about flu clinics and other company events.
- Will implement processes to ensure patients with Asthma and ADHD always have care plans in their charts
- Will focus on patient satisfaction, patient engagement and the patient journey through SCPA clinic locations to improve the customer experience.
- Will be involved in future clinical research, protocol automation and artificial intelligence programs adopted by SCPA.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Education: South Carolina License Registered Nurse
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a licensed registered nurse, plus 3 years in a leadership, or clinical educator role.
- Personality: Positive attitude; loves to teach/train others, public speaking, strong desire to influence quality and patient care, enjoys learning about operations and driving change.
